Jimmy Kimmel: Hottie Body Hump Club
Feb 28th
Not content with roping in Tom Hanks for last night’s Toddlers & Tiaras spoof, Jimmy Kimmel also gave the ladies a chance to get good and silly…
Check out Jimmy alongside Jessica Alba and Biel (who I can never tell apart), Sofia Vergara, Kelly Ripa, Eva Longoria, Emily Blunt, Minka Kelly – and even Lindsay Lohan in a fake infomercial for a mock workout video – Hottie Body Humpilates.
It’s WAY too long and a lot of it doesn’t work – but it gets kind of amusing midway through when the ladies really start going for it. And let’s face it, this is probably going to be Lohan’s only acting work this year!
Check out the clip below… funny – or a bit forced?

Toddlers & Tiaras With Tom Hanks
Feb 28th
Finally some laughs on Oscar night!
Following last night’s dreary Academy Awards ceremony Jimmy Kimmel presented his usual post show chat fest with some pretty A list names on board.
One moment that’s sure to make the folks at TLC happy – Tom Hanks taking on long running docu-soap Toddlers & Tiaras as he coaches his ‘daughter’ for pageant success.
Sure child beauty pageants are an easy target – and the clip’s a tad long and doesn’t all work – but I certainly chuckled a few times – and check out the guest appearance at the end!
Enjoy…! (more…)

Academy Awards 2011: James Franco and Anne Hathaway’s Opening
Feb 28th
Oh boy!
So remember how I was quite excited for this year’s Oscars – and a fan of hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway?
Well unfortunately the smile froze on my face about ten minutes into the ceremony when it became blatantly clear that the movie star duo just didn’t have the comedy chops or stage presence to anchor a 3 hour show.
James and Anne’s opening montage was fun enough – though the writing could have been a LOT sharper – but when the duo took to the stage itself, the clearly nervous duo just bombed. The timing was flabby, the one liners flopped, it was just so uncomfortable. And as the evening wore on it just got worse and worse… (for me the lowlight was a rambling and almost dribbling Kirk Douglas)
The problem – the film stars have limited experience in front of a live audience and hosting a couple of Saturday Night Lives just isn’t the same thing. To really host an awards show you either need a stand up comedian or a veteran Broadway star – someone who knows how to speak to a live audience and get them on side. James and Anne never felt at ease up there on stage More >

Jimmy Fallon: If Puppies Could Vote – The Oscars Edition!
Feb 27th
It’s Academy Award time again – and I for one am excited by this year’s line up of movies and the prospect of James Franco and Anne Hathaway hosting the awards (of course I reserve the right to change my mind AFTER the actual show!)
But here’s a clip that’s certain to melt even the coldest of hearts – as Jimmy Fallon uses a batch of cute golden retriever puppies to cast their votes for Best Picture.
It really is the most adorable clip – even if the pooches probably picked the wrong choice (I love how the first dog went straight to Winter’s Bone!)
Our golden Savannah especially approves of this clip – and if it’s good enough for her than it gets my vote too!
Check it out – and get ready for cute overload…

First Look: Nurse Jackie – Season 3
Feb 26th
The wait is almost over… check out the trailer for the latest season of the Showtime smash, Nurse Jackie.
I came to the Jackie party rather late, assuming the show would just be another hospital drama or just more Scrubs style zaniness. But after zipping through the first two seasons last year I have to confess I freaking love Nurse Jackie!
The writing is superb, the characters so well defined, the acting terrific… nursing student Zoey cracks me up every time she appears, I adore fabulous Brit doctor O’Hara and I really like how the writers broke out hospital administrator Gloria in season 2 and made her so much more than just an overbearing bureaucrat.
Of course the last series ended badly for Jackie herself with the web of lies she’s constructed beginning to crash down around her… husband Kevin and O’Hara know about her painkiller addiction and tried to stage an intervention – but Kevin still doesn’t know about her long running affair with Eddie the pharmacist who’s now ended up as one of his best friends! Will this be the season he finally finds out?
It’s just such a great show – and for any of you out there who haven’t caught More >
Casey Abrams: Is This The Next American Idol?
Feb 25th
Have to hand it to the American Idol production team, after a shaky start the last couple of weeks of Idol shows have been pretty darn terrific.
Of course Hollywood Week / The Final 24 can always be counted on for LOTS of drama but this time around the veteran talent show also had plenty of good voices in the mix too.
I’m liking Paul McDonald (strong voice and pretty darn handsome too), Stefano Langone (ditto), Robbie Rosen (the teen girls will love him), Karen Rodriguez (love that she sang her final song in Spanish), Naima Adedapo (budding diva) and Pia Toscano (guys will love her)
I’m NOT loving all the arrogant guys this time around whose egos far outweigh their talent – Scotty, Clint, James and biggest a**hole of all, the horribly entitled Jordan Dorsey. And as much as I love his personality I fear that gospel queen Jacob Lusk may prove a one trick pony (and as for Randy saying his Hollywood Week solo was the best performance EVER on Idol… oh please!)
But my favorite contestant this season so far has to be Casey Abrams. He’s funny, talented, musical and just very, very likable…
Of course the question remains – can Casey burst out of his comfort zone and deliver when More >
Quick Take: Glee ‘Blame It On The Alcohol’
Feb 23rd
Yep, Glee does it again!
Last week, Fox’s high school musical pummeled us with one of the show’s worst ever episodes – the pointless and incoherent ‘Comeback“. But, as has been the case many times before, Glee last night bounced back with one of the best installments of the season so far. Is there a more inconsistent show currently on the air? If so I’d love to know what it is – cause Glee is one seriously erratic show!
As the name suggests ‘Blame It On The Alcohol’ was all about the perils of drinking as the Glee kids hit up a party at Rachel’s house and proceeded to get wasted – leading Blaine to kiss Rachel in a game of spin the bottle and start questioning his own sexuality. Meanwhile Will found himself drinking to excess on a wild night out with Coach Beiste. And the Glee kids were asked to put on a show by Principal Figgins, promoting the hazards of teen drinking. At last – coherent and believable storylines. For the first show in ages I actually believed the Glee kids were just that, kids!
Let’s Dance: Katie Price Wants To Break Free
Feb 21st
If you live in America, chances are Katie Price probably means very little to you…
But if you live in my home country, Britain, she’s a household name, dominating tabloid front pages day after day.
Katie – also formerly known as Jordan – started as a glamor (i.e. topless) model who became famous for dating well known people and saying almost anything to provoke a reaction. She famously dated and had a child with footballer Dwight York, clashed with ex-Sex Pistol Johnny Rotten on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, met and married Australian pop star Peter Andre, had two more kids with him before divorcing and marrying a cross dressing UFC fighter called Alex Reid, who she’s now divorcing… and on it goes.
Price has published FOUR autobiographies (yep, you read that right!), five adult fiction novels, two series of children’s books, launched a range of babywear, two fragrances, a tanning range and yet no-one really knows what it is she actually does! Her life is pure soap opera and she sells tones of newspapers – plus all her endeavors have made her a small fortune! And of course she has her own reality show – as does her ex, Andre!
Along the way, More >
